Candace and Gabby joined the teens in Operation Understanding for the second year in a row. The group program comes from various backgrounds and shares the desire to build relationships within different communities. The event included a group reading of our book, ShabbatAndSundayDinner, a conversation about family traditions and a cooking activity where the students made Challah and DeepFriedCornbread.
The students were amazing, and it was so inspiring to hear their perspectives on community building and their optimistic view of the future. It was also great to laugh with them in the kitchen as they learned how to make the recipes.
